Moms often have to do a lot of tasks at the same time. They divide their time in 100 parts to be able to accomplish each one of those tasks in the best possible way. Single moms are women who have to be recognized and valued for their daily job. When they work, they raise their childs, deal with their job, keep the house in order, and spend quality time with the family.

Prejudices about teen moms

Single moms have to face a lot of prejudices because of the fact of being moms at a young age. People always feel with the right to criticize or judge single mothers. Examples of prejudices about single moms are:

• She had many boyfriends as a teenager
• She had a a lot of experience regarding sex
• She just ruined her life
• Her kid will be raised by other people
• She does not know how to be a mother
• She will be a housewife without profession
• She got pregnant because she wanted to
• She does not know what she got into
• She will be a bad mom
• Her kid will be unhappy

But, have you ever wonder how these kind of prejudices will affect the girl?

Teenagers who are pregnant might get low self-esteem; emotional problems such as depression, rejection of the baby, fear of the society, fear of being rejected; or behavioral problems.

It is important to support the teenager mom and to realize that none of those prejudices are true. Also, nobody has the right to judge a person for something that only she or he knows.
